PhD student, Olivia Mariella Anneberg, from Dr. Maiara de Freitas's group in PREDICT had the incredible opportunity to work with Professor João Sabino and his research group at KU Leuven, Belgium.

She spent the past three months working with the group on dietary patterns and their association with gut microbiota and inflammatory markers. Multi-omics data integrating microbiome, proteome, and clinical data from dietary intervention studies were used to explore mechanisms that link dietary patterns to the development of inflammatory bowel disease.
