We are delighted to announce the publication of our new study on Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection and risk of inflammatory bowel disease in the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) journal Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

This is the first report suggesting that primary EBV infection in late childhood, but not in adulthood, is associated with a lower risk of Crohn’s disease in a population-based cohort.
